Turtle’s Symphony

I’ll always remember the moment that was the inspiration of this piece. I was snorkelling in the Gilli Islands, and as I descended along a steep trench between two islands, a beautiful turtle began ascending from the depths. She was so graceful, so beautiful. She broke the surface of the water right next to me and I was shocked by her size – she seemed almost as big as me. Her eyes held a wisdom that I’d never seen in an animal before, and then in a moment, she was gone again, back down below to continue her adventure…
